 Since the pump we invented is one of the most revolutionary pumps in the world in its capability to move water cost effectively, why would we name 

the company the Turtle Pump Company?

The answer is quite simple – an earlier design of the blade was inspired by the sea turtle; you can see that in arms of the turtle. 

What was missing in the original design was a leading edge, to provide more uplift, something we call a “Flap”.
